Blog - Russian Adoption Help

Fact and opinion about the state of International Adoptions in Russia.

No Black List Update Yet

EDITED: The list has been updated since this blog post. For the most current list, please see the links in my article about the black list.

We've reached the 8 week mark since the most recent update to the Russian Ministry of Education & Science's (MoE) list of home study and post-placement providers who are reported to be delinquent with post-placement reports (also called the "MoE Black List"). The most recent report, dated August 13, was published to the official Adoption in Russia website on August 19.

The Russian officials have published a new copy of the list every six weeks from early February until mid-August. But there's nothing I've seen encoded that requires them to do so on a six week schedule. The letter attached to each list says only that they will provide further updates, without a time frame.

So, perhaps they have changed the interval, or perhaps they have another plan in the works. But I'll keep watching and will post here as soon as I see something.
